Also, following are my goals for 2013:
- read more philosophy/history books.
- save enough money to send my parents on their dream vacation
- volunteer at an animal shelter or a homeless shelter on a regular basis
Unlike other years, I am not going to add the 'lose weight' or 'go to the gym' one... cause i find it adds unnecessary pressure and I'll go when I want to go anyway.
I wish everyone a wonderful 2013, and I am thankful for all the wonderful people in my life and genuinely want to give back and do good, and I hope to spend some of my energy in 2013 to figure out how to do just that.
Cute little tea-cup top for espresso...
Ø reading the guide-book religiously
Standing outside the Santa Maria del popolo
Piazza del popolo
Going into the Vatican with thousands of other tourists... it was very stressful
Then, by the time we got out, there was a huge crowd in front of St. Peter's Basilica waiting to celebrate the youths of the world with THE POPE.
YES! THE POPE! We were uber close to him!
I was very lucky to be on the shoulders of a very tall man... I feel that I had the best view.
Ø being a good son and texting his parents about seeing the pope
We went back to the basilica the next day
Athena...goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. A busy lady!
Very interesting to see the statues... apparently they used a female head for a male body and vice versa ... just to 'experiment'. Goes to show that the romans were probably much more liberal than some of us are now.
awed by the Pantheon
The Mouth of Truth!
Friendly stray cat that kept following us and asking to be petted.
Very nice view from the top of the park garden
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
