Anish Kapoor

It's been so long since I returned to Korea! It's been rather hectic... cause I started my new job at a head-hunting company, so this week has been quite busy learning the ropes and what not.

But, this weekend was a very pleasant time catching up with old friends and having some cultural experience also. On top of that, the weather warmed up, which always improves my mood :)

On Saturday, I visited a family friend's gallery -- she designs jewelry, which is so cool. I could not resist buying a ring from her shop.
Then today I met up with some college friends, and we went to a mexican restaurant and then to an American grocery shop, both of which are located in Itaewon.
Then we went to see the Anish Kapoor at Leeum Museum -- where Ø and I went a while back

Since one of our friends was an architecture student, she informed us that the museum was designed by 3 architects, and this sign is kind of a tribute to their distinct styles. You learn something every day!
I must say... Anish had very cool art pieces...

This one was titled "when I was pregnant"

This one was quite cool -- he had few pieces that was made with wax and paint... and it was soooo tempting to touch it.

Meanwhile.... Ø and I are doing the long-distance thing until he returns to Korea in February. Skyping every day makes it bearable... but long distances are hard! I miss him very much.

Here, I am pretending to have a halo around my head... Ø thought it would be funny
BTW, I am loving my new job. I think this is the first job ever where I looked forward to going to work on Monday. Hope everyone had a great weekend, and I'll update more regularly this month!

  52. I thought the texture of the wax and paint sculpture was so interesting. And I love your halo.

7% is actually the solution to the type of cocaine that Sherlock Holmes used. The 7% doesn't mean anything, but I liked making a play on words with the solution part of it. There's a more detailed explanation on my about me page.
