Bergen (day 8 and 9) Christmas festivities!

I must say, this is probably the best Christmas ever... just a bit of a background story here:
Every year in the Kim family, I asked 'Santa' for a puppy. That is literally ALL I wanted for christmas. But did I get a puppy? Nooooooooo, I got all sorts of puppy-related things, like a puppy necklace, stuffed animal puppy (not the taxidermy kind, thank god), puppy notebooks, etc. Then, after years of emotional let-down, I found out that santa wasn't real (which took way longer than it should have), and most of the celebrations just stopped. No Christmas trees, no decorations, no nothing.

Fast forward to this year: I got the BEST present ever from my awesome boyfriend (a new year trip to Rome!), I'm meeting such cool people in Bergen, I got to decorate and dance around the christmas tree, eat amazing food from Ø's sweet parents, AND i got to see Santa!

Basically...this was the best Christmas to date.

As 2012 comes to an end, I am so very grateful for all the amazing people around me and also on the blogsphere. 2012 has just been an awesome year so far, and I just want to use this space to express my gratitude for all the beautiful things, thoughts, and sentiments that are put out into the world, and that I hope to return the favor by being a good person and do more good than bad.

  12. It looks like you had so much fun! And a New Year's trip to Rome sounds AMAZING! It's great that you got to experience a traditional Norwegian Christmas. Oh and I remember that you asked a while back what ethnicity I am, I'm actually half Korean, a quarter Norwegian and a quarter a mix of various other things! So I'm loving the Norwegian and Korean blend!!!

  20. I really adore the lifestyle of norwegian...once of my close girl friend married to a norwegian and eveything in the house seems perfect and polish...i guess i should marry a norwegian...lol

  45. Oh, that must have been really lovely! Haha, we've had zillions of animals ever since I was a baby, and sometimes I wish someone would take them, because they can be super annoying at times. XD I always offer people who wish for an animal to keep ours for a while, they'd change their mind. XD But what do you know, you might get a puppy next year. :) I'd totally swap my dog for a trip to Rome (nah, just kidding). Can't wait to see the pics!
